EP Australia is an executive search firm specialising in the creative and screen industries. After 20 years in business, they needed a fresh brand identity to future proof their position and allow them to approach new opportunities previously out of reach.

Notes This was a great project to work on in terms of managing the limitations of certain softwares plugins for web design as well as working with a team and developing a cohesive brand strategy for a business that’s been operating as long as I’ve been alive.
Informed by the previous iterations of the EP Australia brand, I transformed the original brand icon of an asterisk into a set of 5 brand shapes. These shapes could be used at different scales to provide visual interest and delineation.
As a deeply trusted industry partner to some of the best Australian production studios and media businesses, this project was a huge change for the team at EP Australia.
EP Australia needed a refresh that would allow them to take their brand into new markets outside traditional screen industries without losing the trust and reputation they had built over 20 years.
It also needed to be simple and flexible enough that staff could just make a fresh deck on the fly due to how rapidly new roles come in to be filled.
Going through this process allowed the company to step into a new market and push through some hard technology and communication adjustments that had been holding everyone back for while.
It’s been over 5 years since this brand was designed, it’s held up well in daily use and it’s going in for a light refresh in 2023 to keep up with the massive changes to the screen industry post covid. We’re approaching this refresh with our eyes on international horizons.
